Sandi is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). She is pursuing her certification to become a Registered Play Therapist (RPT). Sandi is a certified yoga instructor. She earned her undergraduate degree in elementary education from George Mason University and a master’s degree in school counseling from Virginia Tech. When not at Sarah Briggs & Associates, Sandi works as an elementary school counselor in Fairfax County Public Schools. She has over 30 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and their families and has an understanding of the Special Education and 504 process in public schools. Sandi uses a holistic approach to supporting children, combining elements of Play Therapy techniques, mindfulness, Solution Focused Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) into her sessions. She enjoys working with children and adolescents, ensuring parents and caretakers are a part of the therapeutic journey. She is committed to helping clients navigate challenges and achieve positive outcomes in their lives.
